Meet Ronnie

Growing up in a Christian home, my parents were very strict on certain things. There wasn’t a lot of affection in my household, but my parents taught us how to work. I’ve known about the Mission of Jesus Christ since I was about 10 years old. My parents would take us to minster and sing with them on Sunday afternoons. I began drinking when I was about 17 years old. I always held down a job but I have been married 3 times. I think those marriages failed because I didn’t know how to love. Then after my most recent relapse, I reached out to the Modesto Gospel Mission, and they opened their arms in love to me. In my time here I have been able to reestablish my relationship with God. I have joy in life again and I have the privilege of being involved with the Missions Volente coffee. Volente allows me to be involved with the community. I also get to share my testimony with others and the good news of the salvation through Christ, all over a cup of coffee.
